Contracts & Agreements Overview
Associated Designers of Canada is the leading resource for designers and producers working together in the live performing arts. We support the relationship between designers and producers in theatre, opera, dance, and emerging hybrid art forms.
All producers and their staff – large and small – can benefit from ADC’s mutually respectful professional communication standards and working procedures when collaborating with our members.
Our Standard Agreements represent a distillation of the collected wisdom and experience of designers and producers amassed over our 50-year history. The accompanying Design Engagement Contracts provide a template for a guided conversation leading to a mutual understanding of reciprocal responsibilities, creating a smooth production process in support of artistic excellence.
We help theatre makers by providing:
Standard Agreements and contract templates for PACT and independent producers and performing arts companies of all sizes (including dance and opera)
Discipline-specific fee guidelines to assist with budgeting and contract negotiations
