English Canada Emerging Artist Section at PQ2019

Emerging designers who are within the first 5 years of their career can apply to be included in the English Canada Emerging Artist section of the Prague Quadrennial. The exhibit is sponsored primarily through design programs of participating universities and colleges.  If you are currently attending a design program at a post-secondary institution, please speak with your department BEFORE applying as an individual.

If you represent a post-secondary design program, please contact Karyn McCallum, the Curator, directly via Karyn.McCallum@dal.ca.

If you are interested in participating as an individual, please fill out this contact form, if you meet the following criteria:

  • you are a recent graduate of a design program — we will pair you with the institution where you studied.

  • you are an emerging Designer in the first 5 years of your career but the institution that you graduated from is not participating, OR you did not attend a post-secondary training program in design.

We encourage applications from emerging designers who came to design through avenues other than post-secondary training programs, as well as those from diverse backgrounds.

There is a section of the exhibit where physical artifacts will be exhibited in addition to a digital component that will allow a broader opportunity to exhibit work.

If you are interested in exhibiting a physical artifact, the English Canada Emerging Exhibit cannot be held responsible for lost or damaged items.

Deadline for applications: October 31, 2018

Non-refundable Fee: $30 for individuals

Fill out the form below, and make your payment of $30 CAD via your Credit Card or PayPal account.
